From the beginning
I started Embark Design Labs out of my garage, driven by a passion to bring warmth, peace and inspiring design into every space my products find a home. A gentle reminder to let your inner light shine through each time you flip the switch.
I’ve always loved designing and building things — really anything — but what I love most is creating pieces that truly make people happy.
As I share my designs with you, it’s my wish that they bring you warmth, clarity, as well as inspiration, and a deep sense of cozy comfort.
How we do it
We utilize a couple of manufacturing methods to create our cozy lights, including 3D printing and CNC machining. Our 3D printed products use PLA, a natural, eco-friendly bioplastic derived from corn, sugar cane, beet, and other plant sugars. This sustainable material helps us work toward a more eco-conscious future.
CNC machining allows us to carve 3-dimensional geometry into one of my favorite materials - wood.
By combining 3D printing and CNC machining, our products are not only unique but crafted with quality and care to last.
